Alltrax XCT-48500 Controller
I have a 2006 EZGO PDS (36 volt) and the original Curtis controller finally died. After diagnosing the issue as a faulty controller and doing some research, I concluded the Alltrax XCT-48500 controller was the best unit for my application. My cart has the original motor and drive train, is not lifted and does not have over size wheels and tires. I found the controller at EV Drives for a significantly lower price than another popular online merchandiser and found the personal support provided by Carl was very helpful! I had previously replaced the solenoid with a 600 amp unit (which is recommended for the Alltrax controller) so upon receipt of the new controller, I only had to attach new connectors to the F1 and F2 wires (white & black). Once installation was complete, it was time for a test drive. The Alltrax XCT 48500 controller is an outstanding upgrade to any 36 volt cart. I picked up 4-5 mph with no other changes and the performance of the cart in general has been improved! If you are contemplating a controller upgrade or the current one dies, I strongly recommend the Alltrax XCT-48500 from EV Drives - you will not regret it!

Alltrax upgrade
I see a LOT of talk on the cart FB groups about upgrading batteries and motors to get more performance, but not nearly enough consideration given to the controller. Getting more amps from the batteries you already have to the motor you already have is a great way to measurably boost performance, and after you upgrade your controller, you can STILL upgrade your batteries and/or motor later and get even MORE gains! It's the perfect place to start your upgrades, and the mapping feature of the Alltrax controller lets it adapt as your cart changes and evolves. A GREAT choice for a "first upgrade", IMO.

Alltrax XCT-48500 Controller
Extremely versatile controller that uses maps for common motors or can be programmed via the USB cable and the Alltrax app. Has a built in fan and is plug compatible with the EZGO PDS carts. Easy to install with very good instructions.
